WELCOME TO BOOM_

In January 2024, 309 delegates from 53 countries participated in a two-day consensus meeting in Birmingham, UK, to debate researched evidence on 21 consensus statements on Chondrosarcoma and 20 consensus statement on Infection in Oncology Reconstructions, via a Delphi process. We wanted to hold a meeting that would help sarcoma units around the world to have answers to day to day problems we face treating patients with Chondrosarcoma and Periprosthetic Joint Infection in orthopaedic oncology reconstructions. Often the literature delivers very mixed opinions as to what is the best way to treat a variety of scenarios and consensus meetings can help the clinician know what the global opinion is on those subjects. They are designed to guide clinicians but are not intended to be universally applied to every clinical situation. The results of the meeting are available to download on this website and will be published. Anyone who is interested in sarcoma and wants to take part in projects as a result of this meeting, future meetings or just keep up to date with free to register their interest in the group via this website and a member of the board will contact you to send registration forms to join the group.
